Add money to an envelope
In shortNew money that came in, or money moved over from another envelope.
There are two ways to add money. New money is money that just came in, like a gift, extra work or a refund. Moving money takes it out of one envelope and puts it in another, so your total stays the same.
- On Home, tap the envelope, then tap Add money.
- Under Where is it from?, pick New money or Another envelope.
- For another envelope, pick it under Take it from. Take all and Fill to type the amount for you.
- Check the amount, then tap the button at the bottom. It says what will happen.
You can also hold an envelope on Home and tap Add money.
Example: a short week for Groceries
- Fun Money has
- $60
- Move to Groceries
- $40
- Fun Money now
- $20
Your left to spend hasn't changed. It's just in a different envelope.
Ran out before payday? Move money from another envelope instead of adding money you don't have. That keeps every envelope true.
