How Stuffed works
In shortEnvelopes, spends and payday: the whole idea in two minutes.
Stuffed shares your pay into envelopes. Each envelope holds money for one kind of spending, like Groceries or Fun Money. The number on it is what's left to spend.
Your money stays where it is, in your bank or your wallet. Stuffed doesn't connect to your bank. It keeps count of what you tell it.
- Spent something? Tap the + button, pick the envelope it came from and type the amount. It comes out of that envelope straight away.
- On payday, tap Open your pay on Home, then Fill my envelopes. Each envelope is topped back up to its amount.
- When an envelope is empty, that's your limit until payday. Really need more? Move some over from another envelope with Add money.
Example: Groceries over one pay
- Groceries gets
- $400
- You spend
- $320
- Left at payday
- $80
- Payday adds
- $320
Groceries is back to $400. The $80 that was left stays put.
Goals and debts get a little every payday too, so saving happens without you thinking about it.
